Rational Emotive Self Determination Scale-Work (RESD-W). The RESD-W consists of 3 dimensions; autonomy irrational beliefs (AIB), competence irrational beliefs (CIB), relatedness irrational beliefs (RIB). The scale consists of 16-items which measure irrational beliefs levels on three basic psychological needs of workers. The scale uses Likert type measurement 1= not agree, 2= somewhat not agree, 3= somewhat agree, 4= agree, 5= definitely agree. In this study, Cronbach’s Alpha value for the total scale was .81, the subscales were found to be internally consistent as with Cronbach’s Alpha values of .71 for AIB, .73 for CIB, and .75 for RIB.

The psychometric properties of the 16-item RESD-W were examined in four studies, in which the factor structure, the reliability of the scale, and construct validity of the RESD-A were assessed. Analyses confirmed theoretical expectations and yielded good psychometric properties. The results are discussed with regard to practice, arguing that an examination ofwork-life related motivational and well-being psychological distur problems through the integrated theoretical lens of REBT and SDT could provide an important integrative perspective.
